FREAK PART II? The #SFGiants selected RHP Phil Bickford with 18th pick in 2015 MLB Draft. Bickford, age 19, was ranked No. 27 on Baseball America's Top 500 Draft Prospects and brings a dynamite fastball that reaches 97 MPH.
Bickford tested positive for marijuana during a pre-draft drug test, according to Baseball America. Giants scouting director John Barr would not comment on those reports, but said the Giants are confident Bickford “has the makeup to fulfill the ability.” Barr said the area scout who followed Bickford returned positive reports about his work ethic and the kind of teammate he is.
