* ESPN's Pedro Gomez reports the Giants are "HOT" for Royals' outfielder Alex Gordon and that "the Royals will not be able to keep up with the numbers being thrown at him".
* Jayson Stark reports that Japanese pitcher Kenta Maeda officially hits the market today and the Giants are "expected to make a major push for him". Maeda prefers to play on the West Coast.
* Jon Heyman reports a mystery team is in trade talk for Marlins' ace Jose Fernandez and "it could be the G-Men."
