After being struck in the left cheek by a nasty heater on May 23, Ryan VogelSTRONG is coming home tonight! Vogey will make only his 3rd start for the Pirates against our new SP Matt Moore, less than 3 months after undergoing major surgery!
Ryan suffered multiple fractures to his left orbital bone, and thought he lost his eyesight in his left eye. He had to wait 2 weeks for the swelling to go down before he could undergo surgery, which went well and as usual, he is back!
They should put his picture in the dictionary with the word "comeback" because he's been so successful at making great comebacks and keeping his career rockin'!
I'm sure our awesome fans will give him a big standing O and welcome him back to AT$T. It will be great to see Vogey, but even better to beat him!! Let's go Giants!
