Can you believe it's already been 4 years since this epic moment? Marco Scutaro catches a Matt Holliday pop up for the last out as the Giants rout the Cards 9-0 to win the 2012 NLCS! Scutaro was awarded the MVP after tying the NLCS record with 14 hits and batting .500 (14 for 28) with six runs scored and four runs batted in during the seven game series in which the Giants were down 3-1 going in to game 5. With their backs against the wall, they came roaring back to take the final 3 games. Cainer got the W, Romo got the final out, and everyone got Buster Hugs!
The San Francisco Giants went on to sweep the Detroit Tigers in the World Series. It was their 2nd WS win in 3 years. Second baseman Scutaro had been a mid season acquisition, and at 36 years old he was beyond thrilled to finally go to the WS! This photo will forever be a favorite by the best fans in the world--YOU!
