Looking for some real "inside baseball" info? Here you go! MLB and the players' union have struck a deal that keeps their 21-year streak of labor peace intact for another five years. If you're not interested in reading the article, I'll sum it up for you. The new rule I believe fans will be happy with is about WS home-field advantage. It states that "the league that wins the All-Star Game no longer will get home-field advantage in the World Series, which instead will go to the pennant winner with the better regular-season record." FINALLY! This is how it should have been all along. Also, smokeless tobacco will be banned for all new players. There will be tighter drug testing and domestic violence rules. Teams who sign a top free agent no longer have to give up a first round draft pick. The rest is about über high end tax deals that don't have much meaning to most of us fans. Any thoughts to share?

MLB, players' union strike new 5-year labor deal
