They gave it a valiant effort, but the Gmen lost their first Spring Training game to the A's today, 5-4. They were down by 3 most of the game, when a single by this guy, Christian Arroyo, drove in 2 runs to tie it 4-4 going in to the 9th. According to Marty Lurie, "all Arroyo does is hit in any situation.. been that way since he first came to big league camp.. he can play short, second or third & will." I'm guessing we will be seeing a lot more of Arroyo!
