Vogey signed a minor league deal with the Twins. He's been invited to Spring Training and will compete for a job in the starting rotation (not likely) or more likely, as a long reliever out of the bull pen. Good luck Ryan!

Happy birthday Stretch! Willie McCovey turns 79 today. Our legendary 1st baseman, hall of famer, and 6 time All-Star (plus many more awards!) made his MLB debut in 1959 with the Giants, and ended his career in 1980 with the Giants. He only played 3 seasons away from the Giants, from 1974-1976 with the Padres and A's. How many players have 21 year careers nowadays?! Such an amazing man #44 is, and still so humble and so involved with our team. We wish you a very happy birthday Mr. McCovey!
