Do not Panik! Our beloved Duffman has not been DFAd, nor has he signed a contract with the Chiba Lotte Marines of the Nippon Professional Baseball League in Japan. That was the "other" MLB Matt Duffy, most recently of the Texas Rangers. Our Duffman had surgery in mid September to repair his Achilles' tendon. He is now rehabbing and looking forward to a good, full, and healthy season with the Tampa Bay Rays. He has one more season on his contract with TB, and who knows what might happen after that? Giants fans would sure like to see him back...
