I know I'll get some slack for this but oh well, after hearing some of the back and forth banter I had to get this off my chest and be as honest and forward as possible. Let's keep it 1hunid. A healthy and confident Kaep behind a decent line and sound play calling gives us the best chance to win hands down. Gabbert is and was just a place holder. While I respect the job he did for the last 8 games of the season, be won't take us to a SB. Some of y'all soon forget Kaep already took us to one, but piss poor play calling and an absent first half lost it for us. Not to mention we went away from what got us there. Anyway, as I digress. I'll admit Kaep needs to put as much work into the x's and o's of the game as he does in the gym to maximize his production, but he still gives us the best chance to win when healthy. Making reads, going through progressions, seeing the field, accuracy, you know all the things he's been critisized for being incapable of doing. Yeah well for those of you that say he's trash or regressed, he's done all that and well, just not on a consistent basis. But when he did those things week and consistently, we won. Let's keep in mind, between terrible play calling, injuries, loss of trust in the FO, and then trying to change/sabotage him by not allowing him to use his legs, yeah that'll do anybody in and cause them to regress persay. These aren't excuses, these are facts. Hell, in some games he was the only offense we had. So yes, I'll agree he needs to improve in key areas, but I truly believe with Chip calling the shots, his new/refined confidence, growth, and this new coaching staff he'll excell. Now if he gets his shot and doesn't perform, well it'll be time to explore other options. For now I think he deserves a chance to compete for the starting job and AGAIN prove himsel. Sorry, I did it again. I'm done. LOL.
