Yes, it sounds silly to give a 41-year-old the closer's role with less than 5 innings pitched since the beginning of 2015. However, the fact is that the closer's situation has been equally as silly. Joe may not have the explosive stuff he had with MIN, but still, he has the mental makeup and the grizzled experience. Plus, I thought his stuff looked pretty effective today. At least try it a couple of times and see if he's effective/stays healthy. Casilla's feelings be damned.
