#SFGiants injury updates:

Sounds like Blanco is heading to the 7 day concussion list. Jarrett Parker is already in New York to take his spot. Blanco was struck in the head by an errant warmup throw from Brandon Belt in the Phillies game. The irony is of course that Belt suffered a similar injury last year when Scuraro accidentally did the same thing to him.

On a good note....Matt Cain has said he feels more normal than he's felt in a long time after his first rehab start last night. That's a huge step as he comes back from the elbow/flexor strain. The injury is one that has the potential to get worse if it isn't allowed to fully heal. Heston has really allowed that to happen.

Pence has missed 4 or 5 games with the wrist. Blanco I guess possibly has a concussion after he was hit by a ball similar to how Belt was hurt last year. Blanco will be evaluated shortly I think. We'll keep you updated soon. #SFGiants

#SFGiants' Matt Cain made his first rehab start tonight as well. Cain went 48 pitches. Allowed two runs on three hits in 3 2/3 innings. One walk, two strikeouts for Double-A Richmond.
